Sao Paulo, Brazil Jan 2020

Tibby l and I arrived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for a two day stay on 17th January 2020. China is the third largest country in the world, followed by the USA, Brazil and then Australia, which means Brazil is a very big country.   The population of Brazil is 220 million of which 12 million live in Sao Paulo and 30 million live in the wider Sao Paulo conurbation. Sao Paulo is the largest city in the Southern Hemisphere. Aurelio Ayres, our excellent guide, showed us the highlights of the city and put it all in context. We walked in the beautiful Parque do Ibirapuera and marvelled at the park art.

We gawped at the produce in the Mercado Municipal and adored the stain glass windows there.

We were amazed by the Catedral da Se.

We drove along beautiful streets in the Jardin, Liberdade and Paulista Avenue areas and then submerged ourselves in the street art in Beco de Batman in the Vila Madalina neighbourhood.
