Our daughter, Juls, and I travelled for 200 miles in six days on the Orkney Islands and 415 miles in seven days on the Shetland Islands. We did 82,000 steps on five walks. We also used ten ferries. Juls had just finished an adventure of visiting all 104 bothies of the Mountain Bothy Association in Scotland, Northumberland, the Lake District and Wales. She had visited all the bothies and an additional 30 non-MBA bothies in 476 days and 5,000 miles, with the final visit being last Saturday. I had asked her to show me Scottish islands that she had enjoyed.
